As proof that Librarians always understand the need for more books, I present to you a conversation with Emily B., my coworker and fellow book lover…
Me: Can I go on break to buy this book?
Emily: Yes, of course!
Me: *goes to buy book*

I love my patrons!
Just had a wonderful lady ask for David Bach’s “The Automatic Millionaire.” As we browsed the shelves for the book, she assured me that she would remember the lowly librarian that helped her when she becomes a millionaire.
Lol, #librarypatrons are the best!
Find 4/4 titles a patron requested. A+ #libraryskills, lol.
Working on a handout for one of my programs I will be teaching at the library on using “Facebook for Business.” The class isn’t until August, but I like to be prepared and have time to tweak and perfect things. #librarylife
Libraries are magic! It is amazing to see the difference in materials that have been restored after the 2011 tsunami.
A number of years ago my sister, Brianna, had an encounter with a patron at the Circulation Desk. She had informed the patron that he owed a small fine and asked if he wanted to pay it that day. The patron responded with a question, “So, how can we make this go away?”
To this day, I laugh at my sister’s response. She told the patron, as only she could, that if he paid the fine then it would go away.
And do you know what? He was shocked enough by her response that he paid the fine that very day.
For family and friends, what are your favorite “Brianna-related” memories?
This Unshelved comic strip reminded me of that and I thought I’d share. Click the comic to see more of the fun library-times that is the Unshelved comic series…
Did I mention the patron banging on our front doors with her cane this morning? No? Huh, must have slipped my mind. #librarylife #mondays
On the other side of #librarylife We are using painters masks to deal with the tar fumes from the re-roofing project.
